Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Lagos State, Nigeria, for a Network Security Engineer. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the organization's network security infrastructure. Daily tasks include monitoring network activity, identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, developing and applying security measures, and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. The role will also involve responding to security incidents, performing risk assessments, and maintaining detailed documentation of network configurations and processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Network Security, Firewall Configuration, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
- Experience with Network Design, Routing, Switching, and Protocol Implementation
- Familiarity with Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, and Risk Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and incident response
- Understanding of Cybersecurity best practices, compliance standards, and security frameworks
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and under minimal supervision
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CCNA Security are highly advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
