Job Title: Architect

We are looking for an experienced Architect to design, plan, and oversee the construction of commercial or residential buildings. This role involves working closely with clients, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to deliver functional, safe and aesthetically-pleasing structures that meet client needs, budgets and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs based on client briefs and feedback.
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, 3D models using CAD/BIM software.
• Present design proposals, budgets and timelines to clients, investors or internal stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with local building regulations, zoning laws, safety codes and environmental standards.
• Supervise or coordinate construction phases, including selecting contractors, visiting sites, resolving on-site issues and ensuring work aligns with plans.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to deliver on time and within cost.
• Collaborate with other professionals (engineers, interior designers, landscapers) to integrate systems (HVAC, electrical, structural).

Qualifications & Skills

• Hnd or Bachelor's degree ) in Architecture, Architectural Design or a related field.
• Relevant licensure or registration (depending on jurisdiction) to practise architecture.
• Experience with CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, VectorWorks) and design modelling tools.
• Strong creative, technical and analytical skills: ability to design innovative buildings that are safe, functional and cost-effective.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills: managing clients, contractors, and team members.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, environmental & sustainability standards.

Experience Requirements

• 2years' experience in architectural design and project management (e.g., "2+ years working in residential architectural design" as an example).
• Experience overseeing or managing construction projects from design through to completion (preferred).

Work Environment & Outlook

• Architects often split time between office work (design, meetings) and on-site visits (construction supervision).
• Overtime may be required as project deadlines approach.
