As a Private Family Chauffeur, you become part of a distinguished team responsible for ensuring the safe, punctual, and discreet transportation of families — including children, newborns, elderly parents, and household staff — while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and care.

Role Overview

The Private Family Chauffeur provides safe, reliable, and family-centered driving services tailored to the rhythms and needs of modern Nigerian households. This role goes beyond transportation — it encompasses vehicle management, support for household logistics, and a strong understanding of the unique needs of children, postpartum mothers, and busy family schedules. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, calm, well-groomed, respectful, and able to manage high-pressure traffic environments with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

Safe & Professional Driving

• Transport family members safely to school, appointments, events, and daily activities.
• Demonstrate mastery of defensive driving and child/family-oriented transport.
• Ensure punctuality and reliability for all pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Adjust routes based on traffic, weather, and safety considerations.

Child & Family Transport Expertise

• Properly install, secure, and use infant car seats, booster seats, and child restraints.
• Transport newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-age children with care and sensitivity.
• Support postpartum mothers with gentle handling, minimal movement discomfort, and safety awareness.

Vehicle Care & Management

• Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and fully serviced.
• Monitor and manage fuel levels, tire pressure, and required repairs.
• Handle documentation: vehicle papers, insurance, servicing schedules, renewals.
• Coordinate detailing, mechanical visits, and inspections as needed.

Errands & Household Support

• Assist with routine errands such as grocery runs, courier pickups, or school deliveries.
• Transport household staff when necessary (nannies, cooks, cleaners).
• Support the family's personal assistant, household manager, or employer with logistics.
• Maintain full confidentiality of household activities.

Discretion, Professionalism & Etiquette

• Display calm, respectful behavior at all times.
• Protect the family's privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Present a tidy, well-groomed appearance and courteous communication style.

RequirementsEducation & Training

• Valid Nigerian driver's license.
• Certification in defensive driving (required or willing to obtain).
• Additional training in child/family transport, etiquette, and safety (provided by Caring Institute).

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional driving experience.
• Experience driving families, executives, or children strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with multiple routes, alternate roads, and major city navigation.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent driving skills and impeccable safety record.
• Knowledge of car seat installation, child safety, and mobility support.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm during traffic, weather, or schedule pressure.
• High level of discretion, reliability, and integrity.
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and maintenance routines.
