Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Operations & Logistics Manager to manage the day-to-day flow of production, warehousing, and distribution. This role requires someone who is organized, detail-driven, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to ensure things run smoothly across the supply chain. The person will oversee product movement from factory/warehouse to end distribution points (schools, supermarkets, informal micro-distributors), while also monitoring production activities, maintaining records, and ensuring high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production and packaging activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to standards
  • Supervise warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock logs, and security checks
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the transportation of goods from production site to schools,supermarkets, distributors etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock in/out, deliveries, and returns
  • Work closely with production staff and quality control teams to resolve any issues quickly
  • Ensure timely distribution by coordinating with drivers, distributors, and sales team
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks such as supply delays, packaging shortages, and delivery challenges
  • Provide weekly reports on production volumes, stock levels, and distribution activity
  • Implement and enforce basic health, safety, and quality control standards
  • Support founders with operational insights and recommendations for efficiency

Qualifications

  • OND/HND/bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG operations, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to manage people on the production floor and coordinate multiple moving parts
  • Knowledge of local distribution networks, transport, and vendor management
  • Resourceful, reliable, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
