WORKING DAYS- MON- FRI (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM)

Job Objective/ Purpose of Job

To manage the Finance and Accounting functions of the company to ensure the promptness, integrity and reliability of financial information and data

Provide business support to the Group Head Finance and Business heads in accounting functions including Treasury, Reporting, Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting and Analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and manage financial statements, income statements, and other regular financial reports
  • Oversee annual budgeting process for the Company and ensure efficient monitoring, control and feedback of same
  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and prevent fraud
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess financial health, and recommend improvements to senior management
  • Contribute to the strategic and day-to-day commercial decision making process..
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to the Group Head Finance and business heads or strategic decision making.
  • Provide timely and accurate management accounts and to allow the business to accurately monitor performance on a continual basis.
  • Efficient cash flow management that ensures funding requirements are met without borrowings and debtor/creditor days are reduced to achieve budget and increase investment income.
  • Institution of processes to achieve Revenue Assurance & cost efficiencies
  • Ensure all financial matters, including preparation of annual accounts are undertaken in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the group's accounting policies and all other applicable regulatory guidelines.

Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:

  • Accurate and timely management reports (including management account)
  • Regulatory compliance and efficient internal control processes
  • Analytical support to all departments.
  • Deployment of an effective MIS system.
  • Team development.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education Qualification: A good university degree

Professional Qualification: ACA(ICAN), CIMA, ACCA qualifications are required

Experience (Dimension & No of years): Minimum of 8 years work experience in a senior financial management and administration position

Experience in the healthcare sector will be an advantage

  • Strong financial and business management capabilities, versatility in financial accounting, analysis and modelling and treasury skills
  • Financial management skills - ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning
  • Exposure to financial modelling with multi-year modelling, quarterly forecasting and compliance with generally acceptable accounting principles

Managerial:

  • Leadership - successful track record of managing a finance function to a high professional standard
  • Decision Making and Problem solving skills

Behavioural:

  • High personal/professional ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines and to deliver high quality output Interpersonal Skills
  • Communication skills
