INTERNAL CONTROL AND AUDIT

Are you an experienced Internal Control and Audit professional with a deep understanding of capital market operations and regulatory compliance? Are you also tech-savvy, analytical, and passionate about strengthening governance systems?

We are hiring a Internal Control Audit to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead internal audits across all business units, with a strong focus on capital market operations, including trading, portfolio management, and settlement.

  2. Review and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements issued by the SEC, NGX, and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), including audits of trading operations, settlement activities, KYC/AML practices, and financial controls.

  3. Identify control weaknesses and recommend practical, risk-based solutions to management and the Board.

  4. Develop and execute audit programs and test procedures tailored to business risks.

  5. Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting findings, impact analysis, and actionable recommendations.

  6. Utilize technology tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Google Workspace, Naya ERP systems) to perform audit analytics and reporting.

  7. Interface with external auditors, regulators, and lead the remediation of audit exceptions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.

  2. ⁠Professional certification (or in view): ACA, ACCA, CISA, the possession of CIA is an added advantage

  3. ⁠Minimum of 3–5 years audit experience within a Capital Market Operator (e.g., Broker/Dealer, Investment Adviser or Portfolio/Fund Manager).

  4. ⁠Strong knowledge of rules and regulations of the SEC, NGX, NASD and CBN.

  5. ⁠Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint (Mandatory) and audit automation tools.

  6. ⁠Experience working with ERP systems and internal control frameworks.

  7. ⁠Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.

  8. ⁠High level of integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
