Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Videographer & Video Editor to join our media team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing, producing, and editing high-quality videos that tell compelling stories about our programs, events, and impact.

You will work closely with the communications and program teams to produce visual content that amplifies our advocacy campaigns, educates the public, and strengthens LJE Nigeria's digital presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit video content for campaigns, social media, documentaries, and events.
  • Capture footage during conferences, community outreaches, interviews, and advocacy visits.
  • Work with the communications and social media teams to translate campaign ideas into engaging video content.
  • Edit videos, add sound, effects, motion graphics, and captions for professional delivery.
  • Manage video equipment, lighting, and sound setup during shoots.
  • Maintain organized media archives and ensure all content is properly backed up.
  • Collaborate with designers and storytellers to align visuals with brand identity.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality videos for publication and broadcast.
  • Stay up to date with video production trends, social formats, and storytelling techniques.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Mass Communication, Multimedia, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in videography and video editing.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Ability to tell powerful stories through visuals.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field shoots.
  • Passion for storytelling, social justice, and advocacy work.
