Antwi Industries, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) and provider of natural gas & CNG-based energy solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Design and Solutions Engineer to support our industrial power commercialization efforts across Nigeria.

Job Summary

We're seeking a pragmatic, client-facing Design & Solutions Engineer who is
registered with COREN (Registered Engineer — R.Eng.)
and can translate customer needs into technically sound, buildable solutions. You will lead solution design, produce detailed engineering deliverables (drawings, BOMs, specs), support pre-sales and implementation, and ensure solutions comply with Nigerian engineering standards and COREN professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and constraints.
• Produce engineering designs, drawings, and detailed specifications using CAD/CAE tools; develop BOMs, routing, and interface definitions.
• Architect end-to-end solutions (systems integrations, control logic, power distribution, mechanical/electrical layouts, or software integrations depending on domain) that meet functional, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Create technical proposals, scope of work documents, cost estimates, and implementation plans to support sales and project delivery.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, workshops and handovers; act as the technical lead during pilot and deployment phases.
• Ensure all designs comply with COREN guidelines, applicable Nigerian codes, and internal QA processes; prepare documents for COREN audits/registration where required.
• Mentor junior engineers, review engineering deliverables, and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and reusable assets.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.Eng / B.Sc. / B.Tech) in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial, Systems, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current COREN registration (Registered Engineer — R.Eng.)
  or evidence of COREN Category-I eligibility (i.e., accredited degree plus prescribed professional experience and successful completion of COREN professional examination where applicable).
• Minimum 3–5 years (mid-level) / 6+ years (senior) hands-on experience in engineering design, solutions architecture, or pre-sales engineering.

Preferred experience & skills

• Proven experience designing and implementing systems in the role's domain (e.g., power systems, industrial automation, telecoms, software integrations).
• Strong CAD/CAE skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, or domain equivalents) and ability to produce technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, relay logic, SCADA, power distribution, or networking — depending on hiring domain.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills; comfortable with technical demonstrations and translating engineering detail into business value.
• Solid project planning, cost estimation and risk assessment capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience producing proposals, SOWs and technical documentation.
