About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our dynamic software development and IT consulting team in Yaba, Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that makes complex concepts easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.

This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop, write, and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, release notes, FAQs, and online help content.


• Translate complex technical information into simple and accessible language.


• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to gather and validate information.


• Create visuals, diagrams, and flowcharts to support documentation.


• Develop and maintain templates, style guides, and documentation standards.


• Ensure documentation complies with industry and accessibility standards.


• Maintain version control and update documentation as products evolve.


• Collect feedback from users and internal teams to enhance documentation quality.

Requirements & Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 3–5 years' proven experience as a Technical Writer within a software or IT environment.


• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).


• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, Markdown, Google Docs, and GitHub.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities.


• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop effective documentation solutions.
