Position Overview

The Events Management Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special events, conferences, and guest services. You will ensure that all programs are executed with excellence, budgets are adhered to, and guest hospitality is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning: Create work breakdown structures and task lists ahead of events to ensure all stakeholders are aware of deliverables.
  • Budget Management: Manage collation, disbursement, and retirement of event funds with zero tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate best prices, create service level agreements (SLAs), and maintain a comprehensive vendor directory.
  • Guest Hospitality: Manage all aspects of guest hospitality, including hotel reservations, seating arrangements, and gift delivery.
  • Reporting: Conduct debrief meetings and write comprehensive project reports to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in events, guest hospitality, and/or project management.
  • Education: University Degree in any discipline. Project Management certification is an added advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
  • Attributes: Physically fit, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
