2. Position Overview

The Business Development & Sales Manager at MAJ Fintech is responsible for driving revenue growth through client acquisition, partnership development, and management of both
B2B
and
B2C
sales pipelines. The role involves crafting go-to-market strategies, leading negotiations, and ensuring successful delivery of sales targets. Acting as a key growth driver, the Business Development & Sales Manager ensures alignment of sales activities with organizational objectives while expanding the institutional client base.

As MAJ Fintech expands its footprint in Nigeria's dynamic financial technology sector, the Business Development & Sales Manager plays a critical role in positioning the company as a leader in innovative digital financial solutions. By cultivating high-value relationships and driving customer adoption, the role contributes directly to revenue generation, market penetration, and long-term client loyalty. The position requires a strong understanding of the fintech ecosystem, with emphasis on digital inclusion, cooperatives, and scalable growth models.

Market Analysis and Business Development

  • Assess market trends and identify and analyze market need
  • Conduct market segmentation and understand critical customer behavior and decision-making norms
  • Collaborate with Product Manager to provide compelling product propositions

Client Acquisition & Partnerships

  • Identify and engage potential B2B clients, cooperatives, and financial partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and high-value deal closures.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Design and oversee digital sales strategies and funnel management.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans for institutional and individual users.
  • Lead sales presentations, product demos, and investor pitches.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with product and marketing teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Provide market feedback to guide product development and positioning.

Performance Management

  • Monitor KPIs including revenue growth, conversion rates, and client retention.
  • Track CRM data and prepare sales performance reports.

Representation & Advocacy

  • Represent MAJ Fintech at industry events, conferences, and forums.
  • Promote the company's brand as a leader in digital financial innovation.

4. Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, business development, or key account management in fintech, financial services, or SaaS.
  • Proven record of achieving revenue goals and building long-term client relationships.
  • Understanding of financial inclusion, cooperative models, or digital platforms is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to closure.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales performance metrics.
