Territorial Security Supervisor- Port HarcourtHalogen Security Company LimitedSoftware & DataPort Harcourt & Rivers State Full TimeConfidentialMinimum Qualification :Experience Level : Mid levelExperience Length : 3 yearsJob Description/RequirementsTips: The Supervisor monitors and ensures adherence to post orders, defined standards and operating procedures by the operatives/Guards. The jobholder patrols and monitors the activities of operatives across assigned locations, drives and ensures strict compliance with Halogen standards for operational excellence; escalates issues, threats or infractions and resolves or engages appropriate officers for prompt resolution; and provides reports and updates on assigned locations.ResponsibilitiesGuard Supervision:Decode post orders to the operatives and ensure strict adherence to the post orders at the protected locationsMaintain strict discipline and adherence to laid down regulations by the operatives under his commandEnsure complete guard strength in assigned locationsPatrol and monitor the activities of guards and beats in assigned locationsProvide guidance to guards on assigned dutiesHandle guards' complaintsDownload information from clocking device from all the allocated locations to the mobile downloaderSurveillanceConduct patrol tour of the protected premises and ensures compliance with Halogen standards; identify and escalate (potential) security risks, threats etc.Assist the Zonal Head in the administration of processes, procedures etc.Respond promptly to client complaints or requests; escalate to appropriate officers as required ReportingPrepare daily incident or related reports for the Operations Officer and give recommendations for improvementComplete and submit weekly patrol sheet to Zonal HeadGive feedback on daily routine activitiesQualificationsMinimum of BSC/HND qualification or equivalent in a related fieldRelevant professional certification from a recognized body would be added advantage e.g. PSP.ExperienceMinimum of three years' experience in security operations or related field.CompetenciesCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in English in both written and verbal communicationTeamwork and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals; interact positively and build good working relationshipsRisk Assessment: Risk awareness; ability to identify security risks and threats in assigned locations, proffer ways to mitigate the risks and engage with Line Manager(s) on solutionsSupervisory Skills: Ability to supervise subordinates effectively and ensure compliance with service standards; required guard strength, post orders and disciplineTime Management: Ability to manage work time effectively for optimum output and delivery of tasks as at when dueReport Writing: Ability to gather required information and prepare report for submission in the approved formatCompliance Monitoring: Knowledge of Halogen operational policies, procedures and service standards, and the seamless enforcement of same at assigned locationMotorcycle Riding Skill: Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of applicable rider's license.
