Job Description

Frontend engineers at Prophius work as an agile, cross-functional squad to scope, design, and build scalable, performant, and secure web applications. You will code, create, and review pull requests daily to deliver optimal solutions. 

We are looking for a front-end engineer to push the boundaries of what is possible. You have deep knowledge of Typescript and experience working with React and common React packages. You have a thorough understanding of the options and tools available for managing an application's state and its underlying functional programming concepts. 

You'll bring knowledge of frontend best practices, actively manage and facilitate communications with other engineers, and be responsible for supporting the ongoing development of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality React code. 
  • Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts. 
  • Monitoring and improving front-end performance of Prophius products. 
  • Documenting application changes and updates. 
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. 
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. 

The Ideal Candidate should have

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a frontend engineer with Fintech and payments experience. 
  • Proven experience as a React Developer with up-to-date knowledge of the library's advanced features. 
  • Ability to create robust web applications from visual concepts, wireframes, and interactive product design sessions. 
  • Solid understanding of Redux state management system. 
  • Proven experience integrating with backend REST APIs. 
  • Experience working with Git/GitHub version control system. 
  • Experience using React Testing Library.
