We are looking for a creative and passionate Comic Book Illustrator to join our storytelling team. You'll help bring an original comic universe to life, combining vivid imagination, bold character design, and strong storytelling visuals to create a compelling and visually stunning series.

This role is ideal for artists who love drawing dynamic characters, dramatic scenes, and expressive emotions. You will work closely with the creative director and writer to illustrate storyboards, panels, and full-page art for ongoing comic book production.

Responsibilities

  • Illustrate comic pages, storyboards, and concept art from provided scripts.
  • Create expressive character designs, backgrounds, and dynamic scenes.
  • Work with the writer and editor to ensure consistency in tone, pacing, and visual flow.
  • Deliver illustrations on schedule according to production milestones.
  • Make revisions as needed based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with the colorist, letterer, and digital publishing team.

Requirements

  • Strong drawing and digital illustration skills (portfolio required).
  • Experience using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Procreate.
  • Ability to interpret scripts and translate them into engaging comic panels.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in character art.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to take feedback.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

  • Experience in character concept art, storyboarding, or animation.
  • Knowledge of comic formatting and digital publishing standards.
  • Familiarity with crypto, tech, or superhero themes (a plus, not required).

Compensation & Duration

  • Monthly Salary: ₦50,000
  • Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable based on performance)
  • Work Type: Remote / Flexible hours
