Job Description: Confectionery Company Driver

Position Overview

The Confectionery Company Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of confectionery products from the production facility to retail outlets, distributors, and customers. This role ensures that products are delivered in excellent condition, maintaining the company's reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport confectionery goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
  • Verify delivery documents, invoices, and product quantities before departure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
  • Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly to management.
  • Assist warehouse staff with packaging and organizing deliveries when required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a driver, preferably in FMCG or food distribution.
  • Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to lift and handle confectionery cartons safely.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.

Performance Indicators

  • On-time delivery rate.
  • Accuracy of delivered products vs. invoices.
  • Vehicle condition and maintenance compliance.
  • Customer satisfaction feedback.
  • Adherence to safety and traffic regulations.

Employment Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Schedule: Flexible, may include weekends and holidays depending on demand.
  • Reports To: Logistics/Operations Manager
  • Location: Based at the confectionery production facility with regional deliveries.

Pay: ₦80,000.00 per month
