Head of IT

JOB DETAILS:

• The Head of IT will be responsible for driving the bank's digital transformation and ensuring the efficiency, security, and reliability of its IT systems. This role involves overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge technology to enhance operational excellence and customer experience. The successful candidate will also ensure compliance with all relevant cybersecurity and data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy Development:

• Define and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the bank's business goals.
• Drive digital innovation and adopt modern technologies to enhance service delivery.

IT Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of IT systems, including the core banking application, digital banking platforms, and IT hardware.
• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of IT infrastructure and banking systems.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies to protect the bank's data and systems from internal and external threats.
• Ensure compliance with local and international IT regulations, including NDPR (Nigerian Data Protection Regulation).

Project Management:

• Lead the execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, new product rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Manage and mentor the IT team to build capacity and enhance performance.
• Foster a collaborative work environment to drive innovation and efficiency.

Vendor and Partner Management:

• Liaise with technology vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to SLAs.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external IT service providers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A master's degree or certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISA, CISSP, PMP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing core banking systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing and enterprise architecture.
