Job summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager with strong expertise in corporate tax computation, tax planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate should be fully conversant with the new Nigeria Tax Reform Acts commencing January 2026, and able to confidently manage tax matters across federal and state levels. This role requires someone who can proactively manage tax audits, respond to FIRS and State Internal Revenue Service queries with clarity and accuracy, and support the organisation with reliable tax insights.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of corporate income tax computations, returns, and filings.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigeria's current tax laws, including the 2025 Tax Reform Acts.
  • Manage FIRS and State Revenue Service correspondence, audits, queries, and reconciliations.
  • Provide expert guidance on CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, CGT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Conduct tax risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate tax records, schedules, and documentation.
  • Monitor legislative changes and advise management on tax implications and opportunities.
  • Support the finance team on tax planning, month-end close, and statutory reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Professional certification required: ICAN, ACCA, or CITN.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on experience in corporate taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and the new Tax Reform Acts (2024–2025).
  • Proven experience managing FIRS and state revenue authority enquiries.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
