About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer . The ideal candidate will oversee sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing quality goods at the best value. The role manages vendor relationships, negotiates terms, and ensures timely, compliant procurement to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement and Vendor Management

  • Strategic Sourcing and Qualification: Actively source and qualify new vendors to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain.
  • Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure favourable agreements and minimize overall costs.
  • Quality Control and Performance: Conduct thorough quality checks upon receipt of all goods and manage vendor relationships to drive continuous performance improvement and address any issues promptly.
  • Market Analysis and Risk Mitigation: Monitor market trends (including price fluctuations and supply chain risks) to make informed purchasing decisions and maintain continuity of supply.

Inventory and Warehouse Management

  • Stock Monitoring and Control: Monitor and report on stock levels, including setting and adjusting reorder points, to prevent stockouts and ensure product availability.
  • Accuracy and Auditing: Perform regular cycle counts and conduct full physical inventory audits to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Loss Prevention and Optimization: Implement strict controls, including managing stock rotation (First-In, First-Out or FIFO), to minimize spoilage, obsolescence, and losses.
  • Warehouse Organization and Safety: Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for maximum efficiency in product storage and movement, while adhering to all safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree .
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of vendor management and sourcing
  • Ability to analyze quotes, compare costs, and prepare reports
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Integrity and ability to follow procurement policies and proceduresHow to Apply
