Role Overview

The Outreach Specialist will lead TEDxMaitama's external engagement — driving relationships with partners, institutions, speakers, and communities. This role blends strategy, communication, and people skills to expand our reach, strengthen collaborations, and unlock new opportunities for growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential partners, sponsors, and collaborators aligned with TEDxMaitama's mission and themes.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with embassies, corporates, universities, and media houses.
  • Support speaker outreach and selection in collaboration with the Curator and Programming team.
  • Represent TEDxMaitama at meetings, networking events, and public forums.
  • Develop outreach plans, proposals, and pitch decks for partnership acquisition.
  • Maintain an updated outreach database and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Support event-day logistics for partners, guests, and speakers.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Partnerships teams to align outreach efforts with brand goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Passion for storytelling, innovation, and community development.
  • Experience in event or nonprofit environments is a plus.
