Job Summary

The IT Intern assists the IT team with various technical tasks, projects, and initiatives, gaining hands-on experience and developing skills in information technology. This role provides an opportunity for students to gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and build a foundation for a career in IT.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Project Assistance:

  • Assist with IT projects, such as system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on project tasks and deliverables.

Network and System Administration:

  • Assist with network and system administration tasks, such as monitoring, maintenance, and backups.
  • Learn and participate in system administration tasks.

Cybersecurity:

  • Assist with cybersecurity tasks, such as vulnerability scanning and patch management.
  • Learn and adhere to cybersecurity best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and processes.
  • Assist with reporting and analytics tasks.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
