Position Summary

The
Finishing Supervisor
will oversee all finishing activities on site, ensuring flawless execution across multiple trades. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering premium-quality finishes. You will coordinate specialized teams, enforce quality standards, and ensure timely completion of all finishing works in alignment with design and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and manage on-site finishing teams (tilers, carpenters, painters, drywall installers, stone masons, etc.).
  • Plan daily work programs and allocate tasks to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, design team, and other construction leads to align finishing activities with overall project objectives.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Serve as the site's primary quality gatekeeper for all finishing works.
  • Inspect, approve, and monitor workmanship at every stage to maintain high-end standards.
  • Validate all finishing materials for compliance with approved samples and specifications.
  • Implement a zero-defect policy—identify, document, and resolve any quality issues promptly.

Technical Oversight & Problem Solving

  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and finish schedules with precision.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to resolve complex finishing challenges.
  • Anticipate and address potential coordination or material issues to minimize rework or delays.

Core Finishing Areas

  • Tiling:
    Ensure perfect alignment, levelness, and joint detailing.
  • Wood Finishes:
    Oversee joinery, wood flooring, and wall panel installations to luxury standards.
  • Natural Stone:
    Supervise the fixing of travertine, marble, and other stones using mechanical systems.
  • Drywall & Plaster:
    Ensure smooth and uniform Level 5 finishes.
  • Carpet & Soft Flooring:
    Manage precise laying with correct underlays and seamless transitions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in high-end finishing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proven record of delivering luxury residential or commercial interior projects.
  • Strong expertise in tiling, carpentry, stone cladding, drywall, and other fine finishes.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and finish schedules accurately.
  • Competent in basic IT tools for reporting, communication, and documentation.
  • Relevant certifications in construction supervision or safety (e.g., OSHA 30) are an added advantage.
