Job Summary:

We are hiring a competent and proactive HR Officer to support the HR department across recruitment, staff welfare, performance management, documentation, and compliance. The ideal candidate must be people-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about HR best practices and labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new employees

  • Maintain up-to-date HR records, personnel files, and HR databases

  • Support payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management

  • Coordinate employee welfare, engagement, and disciplinary processes

  • Assist in performance appraisals and KPI tracking

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HSE standards

  • Draft HR letters, memos, queries, and contracts

  • Coordinate staff training and development programs

  • Handle employee queries and foster good internal communication

  • Support HR reporting and contribute to policy implementation

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field

  • 3–5 years experience in HR roles (HR Assistant/Officer/People Operations)

  • Professional certifications (CIPM, SHRM, PHRi) are an added advantage

  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software/tools

  • Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or corporate settings is a plus
