Job Summary:
We are hiring a competent and proactive HR Officer to support the HR department across recruitment, staff welfare, performance management, documentation, and compliance. The ideal candidate must be people-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about HR best practices and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new employees
Maintain up-to-date HR records, personnel files, and HR databases
Support payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management
Coordinate employee welfare, engagement, and disciplinary processes
Assist in performance appraisals and KPI tracking
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HSE standards
Draft HR letters, memos, queries, and contracts
Coordinate staff training and development programs
Handle employee queries and foster good internal communication
Support HR reporting and contribute to policy implementation
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field
3–5 years experience in HR roles (HR Assistant/Officer/People Operations)
Professional certifications (CIPM, SHRM, PHRi) are an added advantage
Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software/tools
Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or corporate settings is a plus
