Job Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Summary
The MSD Foundation is a humanitarian and development organization committed to improving lives through initiatives in healthcare, education, empowerment, agriculture, and social welfare. The foundation focuses on supporting vulnerable groups, including women, children, persons with disabilities, widows, and underserved communities.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all foundation projects, ensuring they are effectively implemented, efficiently managed, and deliver meaningful, measurable impact in alignment with the foundation's mission. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational ability, and excellent communication skills to drive successful project outcomes across all focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Implementation
- Develop and execute project plans in line with the foundation's mission.
- Oversee program delivery and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct community needs assessments and recommend sustainable solutions.
2. Financial & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage budgets with transparency and accountability.
- Oversee procurement, documentation, and resource allocation.
- Support fundraising, proposal writing, and donor reporting.
3. Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, government bodies, NGOs, and community partners.
- Represent the foundation at key meetings, workshops, and events.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track project progress, outcomes, and performance metrics.
- Prepare periodic reports and document best practices for continuous improvement.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and support project staff and volunteers.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and capacity development.
6. Advocacy & Community Engagement
- Lead outreach and awareness initiatives in health, education, and empowerment.
- Advocate for vulnerable groups, promoting inclusion and compassion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Project Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within the NGO or development sector.
- Strong budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Commitment to humanitarian and community development work.
