Job Summary

The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing, branding, and digital strategies that drive customer acquisition, increase foot traffic, boost revenue, and solidify Upbeat's position as a leading recreational and sports entertainment brand in Nigeria.

This role requires a strategic thinker, creative leader, and data-driven marketer with experience in managing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.

**Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership & Planning**


• Develop and implement an annual 360° marketing strategy aligned with Upbeat's business goals.


• Lead brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all touchpoints (digital, on-site, PR, and offline).


• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new revenue opportunities.


• Manage the marketing budget and ensure cost-effective campaign execution.

**2. Brand Management & Communications


• Strengthen Upbeat's brand visibility through targeted campaigns, partnerships, and community en

gagement.


• Oversee all brand communications, ensuring consistency in tone, quality, and identity.


• Build and maintain media relationships; coordinate PR events and press engagements.


• Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral (videos, graphics, signage, ads, etc.).

3. Digital Marketing & Social Media


• Lead digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, and paid ads.


• Manage Upbeat's social media presence, driving engagement, growth, and community loyalty.


• Supervise content calendars, influencer partnerships, and online brand campaigns.


• Ensure proper analytics tracking and provide performance reports using data-driven insights.

4. Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth


• Develop campaigns that increase bookings for trampoline sessions, parties, events, school excursions, and corporate team-building.


• Initiate promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal campaigns to drive foot traffic.


• Collaborate with the sales team to execute revenue-generating initiatives.


• Track campaign ROI, customer behavior, and retention metrics.

**5. Event Marketing & Activation


• Lead marketing for Upbeat's events: fitness festivals, competitions, holiday events, corporate outi

ngs, etc.


• Partner with brands for co-branded activations and sponsorships.


• Ensure creative promotion and high attendance at all events.

6. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration


• Manage and mentor the marketing team (designers, content creators, social media managers, etc.).


• Collaborate with operations, customer service, sales, and events teams to ensure unified communication.


• Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and partners for seamless campaign execution.

**Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience**


• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or related field.


• Minimum of 5–7 years experience in marketing, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, FMCG, or sports-related industries.


• Proven track record in executing successful marketing and digital campaigns.


• Experience leading a team is required.

Technical Skills


• Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Analytics, CRM systems).


• Exceptional content development and brand storytelling skills.


• High-level proficiency in marketing analytics and performance reporting.


• Understanding of customer segmentation, experiential marketing, and brand strategy.
