Job Position: Sales / Key Account Executive

Job Description

  • A Key Account Executive plays a vital role in driving business growth by strengthening client relationships and ensuring that the company delivers tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage complex relationships and projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, understanding their business objectives, challenges, and needs to provide personalized solutions.
  • Sales Strategy & Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans that align with company sales goals. Identify opportunities to increase revenue and expand the company's market share within key accounts.
  • Client Communication & Reporting: Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring that communication is timely and effective. Regularly provide clients with status updates and reports on account performance.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts and work with the sales team to secure new deals and partnerships.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients while ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Address any client issues or concerns promptly, collaborating with internal teams to resolve problems effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to deliver a seamless experience for key accounts.
  • Sales Targets & Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets by strategically expanding the company's footprint within key accounts.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand client needs and market trends, ensuring your offering remains competitive.

Requirements

Education:

  • OND / HND qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development roles.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, achieving sales targets, and delivering client satisfaction.
  • Experience in B2B (Business-to-Business)or B2C (Business-to-Consumer) sales is typically required, depending on the industry.
  • Experience in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.

  • Account Management: Strong experience in managing key accounts and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Expertise in developing sales strategies, negotiating deals, and closing sales.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with clients.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent at identifying challenges and developing creative solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer-centric mindset with a focus on exceeding client expectations.

Other Requirements:

  • Self-Motivated: Must be able to work independently and take initiative in managing accounts.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and other relevant sales tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry, allowing for better insights into customer needs and business trends.
  • Route To Market: Understanding of Modern Trade and Open Market.

Remuneration

  • Salary-based (N100,000 - M150,000 / Month).
  • Incentives tied to meeting or exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
