Company Description
Knock Knock Lifestyle Solutions (KKLS) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Event and project coordinator for planning, executing, and overseeing Awari's events and programs from conception to completion. Based in Lagos, you will be responsible for overseeing operational projects that facilitate successful events delivery and business growth initiatives for the brand.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including editorial, marketing, design, and operations to deliver exceptional events and supporting initiatives that directly contributes to Awari's commercial success.
Role Description
This role works closely with
editorial, marketing, design, operations, and technology teams
to deliver experiences that drive visibility, build community, and convert audience engagement into measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution (Primary Focus)
- Conceptualize, plan, and coordinate all Awari-hosted events with clear revenue objectives
- Develop comprehensive event strategies that align with sales targets and brand positioning
- Develop comprehensive strategies for each event, including positioning, audience targeting, and engagement plans.
- Monitor ongoing event performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure a smooth user experience, also onboarding and communication of businesses.
- Build and manage timelines, project plans, and budgets for all activations.
- Ensure all events reflect Awari's brand values and visual identity whilst delivering commercial value
Revenue Generation & Partnership Development
- Identify and secure partners, and merchants for events to create additional revenue streams
- Maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners to drive renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Track and analyze KKLS's revenue generation from each event, including lead conversions and business development outcomes
- Collaborate with the Sales Lead to build event packages tailored to client needs.
- Track and report on event ROI for partners including attendance conversion, partnership value, and direct revenue.
Event Marketing & Promotion
- Work with Marketing and Editorial teams to develop promotional strategies across social media, email newsletters, and press releases
- Oversee pre-event communication, including registration campaigns, reminder workflows, and audience segmentation.
- Manage post-event engagement strategies, including follow-up campaigns to convert leads and retain attendees
- Support the coordination of post-event follow-ups focused on lead nurturing and business development
- Ensure events are positioned as premium experiences that enhance Awari's market reputation
Cross-Functional Project Coordination
- Support digital projects tied to growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
- Coordinate timelines and deliverables across departments to execute campaigns and content rollouts effectively.
- Manage the operational aspects of digital activations, ensuring smooth workflows and consistent quality.
- Manage operational projects that support event delivery, including marketing campaigns and co-branded content initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration between teams to ensure seamless execution of event-supporting activities
- Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to optimize event outcomes
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain systems for tracking event metrics, including redemption, engagement, and conversion data.
- Deliver timely, data-driven post-event reports with actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Lead post-mortem sessions to capture lessons learned and implement process improvements.
- Maintain organized systems for tracking event documentation, contracts, supplier details, and performance metrics
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in event coordination with demonstrated project management capabilities, preferably within media, marketing, or startup environments
- Proven track record of delivering successful revenue-generating events
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, budget management, and timeline coordination
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in event management software, project coordination tools (Asana, Trello, ), CRM systems, and Google Workspace
- Experience with sponsorship acquisition and partnership development
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances
- Enthusiasm for urban culture, storytelling, and community engagement initiatives preferred.
Remuneration: 350,000 monthly net.
Work Mode: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
