Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lekki for a Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering team, leading engineering projects, and ensuring successful project delivery. Day-to-day tasks will include managing software development processes, coordinating with other departments, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


• Lead the development and implementation of technical and engineering strategies that drive

business growth and operational excellence.


• Oversee technical operations, installations, and maintenance activities across all business divisions.


• Drive process improvement, innovation, and standardization of technical practices across the

Group.


• Develop and track departmental KPIs to ensure alignment with overall corporate objectives.


• Supervise and coordinate all engineering and installation projects to ensure timely, cost-effective,

and high-quality delivery.


• Oversee design reviews, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for ongoing and upcoming

projects.


• Manage contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project standards

and specifications.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications,

and manuals.


• Ensure all MEP works meet established safety, regulatory, and quality standards.


• Conduct periodic technical audits and inspections to maintain compliance with best engineering

practices.


• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency and

longevity of installations.


• Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team to enhance competence and

productivity.


• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and performance excellence across the

technical workforce.


• Collaborate with internal business units to provide technical guidance and support on ongoing

projects.


• Provide strategic oversight and guidance on technical matters, acting as the senior point of

escalation and ensuring client requirements are met throughout project scoping, execution, and

completion.


• Liaise with consultants, regulatory authorities, and contractors to ensure full compliance with

engineering codes and statutory requirements.

Qualifications


• B.Sc. - Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering


• M.Sc. - Engineering Management, Project Management, or related field (an added advantage).


• Professional Certification/License such as COREN, PMP, or equivalent, is compulsory.


• 10–15 years' experience in engineering or project management within construction or fit-out.


• Strong leadership role with emphasis on Service & Quality assurance


• Proven expertise in MEP and civil project execution.


• Strong leadership in cost control, vendor management, and quality assurance.
