Fairsure Payment Limited is a growing fintech company providing secure payment solutions via USSD, card, and bank transfer channels. We are looking for a motivated NYSC Corper (Backend Developer) to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience building real-world payment systems.

Role Summary

As a Backend Developer (NYSC Corper), you will support the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing backend services and RESTful APIs
• Work with databases and perform basic data operations
• Support integration with frontend applications
• Assist in debugging, testing, and fixing backend issues
• Write clean and well-documented code
• Learn and apply backend security best practices

Requirements

• Must be a current NYSC Corper
• Basic knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and/or C# (.NET)
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend concepts
• Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fintech environment
• Good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub
• Exposure to fintech or payment systems
• Basic understanding of authentication and authorization
