Overview

Expert Listing is a real estate technology platform redefining how Nigerians discover, verify, and connect directly with property owners, agents, and artisans. As Product Manager, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and execution, translating market needs into products that drive user engagement, platform trust, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and continuously refine the product vision and strategy aligned with Expert Listing's mission.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities by studying user behavior, market gaps, and emerging technologies.
  • Translate company goals into measurable product OKRs and roadmaps.

2. Roadmap & Execution

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing features that improve listing quality, agent efficiency, and user trust.
  • Work closely with the CEO, CTO, and cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Marketing, Operations) to ensure timely delivery.
  • Own the product backlog, user stories, and sprint planning processes.
  • Conduct A/B tests, MVP launches, and iterative experiments to validate assumptions.

3. User Research & Experience

  • Gather insights from users (agents, landlords, tenants, riders, artisans) through interviews, surveys, and data analytics.
  • Identify friction points in user journeys and work with UI/UX designers to resolve them.
  • Establish and enforce consistent product design standards across all platforms (web, mobile, admin tools).

4. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing for product positioning, feature announcements, and user education.
  • Collaborate with the Legal & Compliance team to ensure platform policies, data use, and verification flows meet Nigerian real estate standards.
  • Work with Field Operations to integrate feedback loops and real-world data collection efficiency.

5. Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Define and track key product metrics (DAU/MAU, conversion rate, churn, property verification rate, average time-to-list).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly product performance reports for leadership.
  • Use data to guide product decisions, measure success, and identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in PropTech, FinTech, or marketplace platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead product development through the full lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodology, user-centered design, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to align engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using product analytics tools (Mixpanel, GA4, Hotjar, or similar).
