Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, vendor relationships, and material acquisition for our production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment, with preference for those familiar with woodwork, hardware, and furniture production materials. This role is essential to ensuring cost-effective purchasing, timely supply, and quality material availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, tools, and consumables

  • Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors

  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the warehouse and production teams

  • Ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications

  • Track market trends, pricing, and alternative supply options

  • Work with finance to ensure proper documentation and budget alignment

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procurement best practices

  • Resolve supplier issues and ensure delivery timelines are met

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field

  • Minimum of 5–7 years experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or furniture production

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing materials such as wood, laminates, hardware, and fittings

  • Proven negotiation, vendor management, and budgeting skills

  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement or ERP software

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
