Company Description

Our client is a medium-sized haulage company that has been retained by some multinational companies for hauling their products nationwide. The company with its head office in Lagos due to business expansion and a new structure being put in place, now seeks to recruit experienced and competent professionals for the following positions:

Job Description

Prepare and analysing of Payment/petty cash vouchers.

Posting all the transactions to their various ledgers

Develop, implement & modify record keeping

Running of Day to day banking activities.

Ensuring that all receipts (Cheque/Cash) are banked instantly

Registering/booking of all incoming invoices;

Maintenance of stock ledgers

Keeping up filing system for all types of invoices and payment vouchers 

Other functions as required by the management.

Prepare a weekly report of her department (to be ready by Friday)

Update of the Debtors/Creditors of the company

Registering/booking of all incoming invoices, Follow up on debt if possible

Prepare schedules for payment of company's creditors

Keeping and maintaining of stock ledgers

Other functions as required by the management.

Preparing and reconciling all the banks (bank reconciliation statement)

Reconciling all the Debtors and Creditors (Local & Foreign) of the company

Monthly stock taking and valuation of stock.

Extracting the monthly trial balance

Compute PAYE, VAT taxes and render returns

Preparing the monthly payroll

Preparing monthly Income statement (Profit & loss account)

Skills, Competencies and Requirements

Strong Internal and External Communication Skills

Strong Time Management and Multi-tasking skills

Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate effectively

Highly organised and significant ability to multi-task effectively

Qualifications

BSc. /HND in accounting, finance, business admin, etc with good progress in the professional examinations of a recognized accountancy professional body.

Minimum of 3 years work experience as an accounts staff with good practical skills in the use of computer, especially excel as well as any accounting package.
