- Cost Planning & Estimation
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents specific
to landscaping works (softscape, hardscape, irrigation, etc.).
• Provide early-stage cost advice and feasibility studies for prospective projects in
collaboration with the Sales department.
- Budget Management & Control
• Track project costs, expenditures, and cash flow against budgets to ensure
profitability.
• Monitor material usage, labor productivity, and subcontractor performance to
prevent overruns.
• Recommend value engineering solutions to optimize costs without compromising
design quality.
- Contract & Procurement Administration
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for competitiveness, compliance,
and technical accuracy.
• Assist in contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and claims management.
• Support procurement planning by forecasting material and labor requirements in
line with project schedules.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, assess variations, and ensure
adherence to financial controls.
• Provide timely cost reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to the Project
Manager and senior management.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all project cost data for auditing and
future reference.
- Risk & Variation Management
• Identify potential cost and scope risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
• Manage variation orders and ensure proper valuation and approvals in line with
contractual obligations.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related
field.
• Professional membership (e.g., NIQS) is an advantage.
• Proven years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within landscaping,
construction, or civil works.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, site works, irrigation, and hardscape
elements.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software, MS Excel, and project management tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
