Job Summary:

As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure that the company's operations, policies and employee activities comply with all regulatory, legal, and internal standards governing the travel and tourism industry. The role involves monitoring, evaluating, and improving internal control systems to reduce risks, promote transparency and uphold ethical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical ability and a sound understanding of travel industry regulations and compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all government and industry regulations applicable to the travel and tourism sector.
  • Review and monitor internal processes to ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Investigate compliance breaches, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and update company policies and procedures to reflect new regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support the onboarding and training of employees on compliance standards, ethical behavior, and company policies.
  • Ensure data protection and confidentiality in line with data privacy laws.
  • Maintain a register of compliance breaches and monitor the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Work closely with the HR, Visa, and Finance departments to ensure full compliance in employee, financial, and client operations.
  • Provide regular compliance updates and reports to management.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in compliance, internal control, or a related role (experience in the travel industry is an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the travel and tourism sector.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
