Key Responsibilities:


• Collect, analyze, and interpret biological samples (blood, urine, stool, swabs, etc.).


• Carry out tests across major disciplines: haematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, serology, and parasitology.


• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers.


• Ensure accurate documentation and timely release of test results.


• Uphold laboratory quality and safety standards in line with ISO 15189 and MLSCN regulations.


• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.


• Maintain adequate stock of reagents and consumables.


• Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals for patient management.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's Degree (BMLS) in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.


• Must be licensed and registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).


• Minimum of 1–3 years relevant post-NYSC experience in a diagnostic or hospital laboratory.


• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment handling, and quality management systems.


• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and record-keeping skills.


• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office tools.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Added Advantage:


• Experience with automated laboratory equipment and analyzers.


• Familiarity with ISO-accredited laboratory environments.


• Knowledge of molecular diagnostic techniques (PCR, ELISA, etc.).


• Ability to mentor or supervise laboratory assistants or interns.
