A reputable Montessori nursery and primary school in Surulere, Lagos, seeks a passionate and qualified Montessori directress to guide children aged 0–6 years using Montessori principles and materials. The ideal candidate will foster independence, curiosity, and holistic development in a nurturing learning environment.

• Working Hours : Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a stimulating Montessori environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy and child-centred learning.
• Present Montessori materials and lessons appropriately to each child's stage of development.
• Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, behaviour, and interests.
• Foster emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth through individualized and group activities.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and orderly classroom atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on children's development.
• Support other teachers in integrating Montessori methods across age groups.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and school events as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Montessori education (0–3 or 3–6 years) from a recognized Montessori training centre.
• NCE or a bachelor's degree (B.Ed. / Early Childhood Education) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years practical experience in a Montessori classroom.
• Sound understanding of Montessori philosophy and early childhood development.
• Ability to prepare Montessori materials and manage multi-age classrooms.
• Deep passion for child-led learning and Montessori principles
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
