About the Role:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Intern to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated NYSC Corp member or recent graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience in accounting within a fast-growing renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support monthly financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Help track project costs, budgets, and revenue for solar installation projects.
  • Assist the accountant to perform reconciliations for bank statements, invoices, and expense accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
  • Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Contribute to audits, tax preparation, and other compliance activities.
  • Support the finance team in developing financial insights that drive business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Currently serving or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Interest in sustainability and the renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Living around Yaba, Shomolu and its environ is an added advantage
