Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical operations of our oil tanker fleet. This role is pivotal in ensuring our vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with international and local maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day technical performance of assigned oil tankers.
Plan and supervise dry-docking, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
Monitor vessel machinery, hull integrity, and onboard systems.
Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and flag state requirements.
Liaise with ship captains, crew, and shore-based teams to resolve technical issues.
Control operational budgets and optimize maintenance costs.
Conduct regular onboard inspections and audits.
Support emergency response and incident investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technical Superintendent or Chief Engineer on oil tankers.
Strong knowledge of tanker operations, safety protocols, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ship management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel for vessel inspections and dry-docking supervision.
