ROLE SUMMARY

Drives growth in the non-oil exports and solid minerals sector by originating clients, structuring financing solutions, and providing advisory support. The role contributes to Nigeria's economic diversification by promoting exports, supporting trade finance, and driving sustainable value creation for the Bank and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES

Client Origination:
Identify and onboard clients in non-oil exports and solid minerals value chains.

•
Financing Solutions:
Structure trade finance, project finance, and working capital facilities tailored to sector needs.

•
Sector Advisory:
Provide clients with insights on export markets, policies, and regulatory frameworks.

•
Cross-Border Opportunities:
Facilitate international partnerships and export markets in collaboration with global counterparts.

•
Portfolio Management:
Monitor credit quality and ensure robust risk management across the portfolio.

•
Revenue Growth:
Achieve assigned revenue and profitability targets for the sector portfolio.

•
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with government agencies, export councils, and industry associations to support sector growth.

•
Market Intelligence:
Track commodity prices, demand trends, and trade policies to refine strategy.

•
ESG Integration:
Promote sustainable mining and export practices in client engagements.

•
Team Development:
Coach junior bankers on sector knowledge and client management.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Finance; MBA or CFA is an advantage.

• 12 years' + experience in corporate banking, trade finance, or commodity finance.

• Deep knowledge of non-oil exports, solid minerals, and trade value chains.

• Proven ability to structure complex financing and trade deals.

• Strong client relationship and business development skills.

• Knowledge of Nigerian and international trade/export regulations.

• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment capabilities.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
