Role Overview

We're looking for a
Scriptwriter / Screenwriter
to join the TravelTube Creative Production Team. In this role, you'll write scripts and storylines for
TravelTube Originals, documentaries, cultural features, and travel shows
. You'll help shape the voice and tone of the platform — telling stories that inform, inspire, and entertain a global audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Write compelling scripts for
  TravelTube shows, documentaries, interviews, and digital series
  .
• Collaborate with producers, videographers, and editors to bring stories to life on screen.
• Conduct research on destinations, cultures, and communities to craft authentic narratives.
• Develop creative concepts, show outlines, character arcs, and episode breakdowns.
• Work closely with the
  Cultural Narrative Director Program
  to script stories for museums, galleries, and cultural partners.
• Adapt raw interviews, travel experiences, and user-generated content into coherent storylines.
• Write promotional video copy, narrations, and short scripts for TravelTube campaigns and social media.
• Ensure each script aligns with TravelTube's tone —
  authentic, adventurous, and globally inclusive
  .

Requirements

• Proven experience as a scriptwriter, screenwriter, or creative writer (portfolio or samples required).
• Excellent storytelling and narrative development skills.
• Strong command of written English; ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Creative imagination with an understanding of pacing, dialogue, and visual storytelling.
• Basic understanding of production workflows (pre-production, filming, post).
• Research-oriented, with interest in travel, history, and cultural heritage.
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a cross-functional creative team.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience writing for documentaries, travel series, or digital content.
• Familiarity with script formatting software (Final Draft, Celtx, WriterDuet, etc.).
• Understanding of cultural or historical storytelling.
• Background in journalism, creative writing, or film production.
• Ability to write for different formats — short-form, long-form, and episodic storytelling.
