Restaurant Accountant

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Panthera Restaurant, Asokoro, Abuja

Reports To: Operations Manager / Managing Director

Organization: Panthera Restaurant (under Almond Healthcare Services Ltd)

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing Panthera's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with accounting standards. The role ensures that financial records are properly maintained, expenses are monitored, and management has reliable data for sound decision making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up to date financial records of all Panthera transactions.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and statements.

• Monitor cash flow, sales summaries, and daily expense reconciliation.

• Oversee vendor payments, staff claims, and supply chain expenditures.

• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.

• Conduct periodic stock valuation and inventory cost control analysis.

• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.

• Support audit and tax related processes in coordination with external auditors where required.

• Provide timely financial insights to aid management decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Sc. in Accounting

• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, or service oriented businesses.

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or related).

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting.

• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

• Good communication and analytical skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• 100% accuracy in daily financial entries and reconciliations.

• Timely submission of weekly and monthly reports.

• Reduction in cash and stock discrepancies by at least 90%.

• Timely vendor and supplier payment processing.

• Compliance with accounting standards and audit recommendations.
