Job Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned and well-connected Investor Relations Manager with a strong background in wealth management, private banking, or investment product sales within a financial institution.
The ideal candidate will lead investor outreach, fundraising strategy, and relationship management, driving the company's mission to expand access to private debt and fixed-income investment opportunities across Nigeria and West Africa.
You will operate at the intersection of sales, capital markets, and operations to deliver a seamless investor experience — from acquisition and onboarding to transaction closure and retention.

Responsibilities
- Investor Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Source, engage, and onboard high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), corporate investors, wealth managers, and institutional clients.
• Leverage existing networks to generate and qualify investor leads across retail and institutional segments.
• Build and maintain trust-based, long-term relationships through tailored investment discussions, education, and consistent follow-up.
• Segment investors and craft customized proposals aligned with their risk appetite, liquidity profile, and return expectations.
- Demand Generation & Fundraising Execution
• Drive investor demand for private placement and structured fixed-income products.
• Lead pitch meetings, presentations, and roadshows to secure investor commitments.
• Support the design and execution of private note offerings including term sheets, investor decks, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely investor query resolution, fund disbursement, and compliance adherence.
- Product Structuring & Market Positioning
• Provide insights on investor preferences to guide product structuring and pricing.
• Monitor market trends and competitor products to enhance Sapphire's market positioning.
• Liaise with the credit and finance teams to align fundraising volumes with disbursement goals and liquidity management.
- Compliance, Reporting & Governance
• Ensure strict compliance with SEC and CBN regulations governing private placements.
• Maintain accurate investor records within CRM tools and data rooms.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on fundraising progress, investor engagement, and portfolio performance to executive leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Preferred: MBA, MSc (Finance, Investment, or Economics), ACCA, ACA, or similar certifications.
• 7–10 years' experience in wealth management, investment sales, private banking, or capital markets.
• Proven track record of raising capital via structured products or private placements.
• Strong understanding of fixed-income, private debt, and structured note products.
• Demonstrated success in managing HNIs and institutional investor portfolios.
• Familiarity with digital investment platforms or fintech lending ecosystems.
• In-depth understanding of SEC and CBN guidelines on investment products and private notes.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing multi-investor deals or syndicates.
