Position Summary

The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. The role involves translating complex information into accessible content, maintaining manuals and guides, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation such as user guides, manuals, release notes, and online help.
  2. Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
  3. Collaborate with engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather and verify information.
  4. Develop and maintain style guides, templates, and documentation standards.
  5. Organize and structure content for clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.
  6. Create visuals, diagrams, and flowcharts to support written content.
  7. Maintain version control and update documentation to reflect product or process changes.
  8. Build and manage knowledge bases, FAQs, and internal/external support documents.
  9. Document workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  10. Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulations, and accessibility requirements.
  11. Gather feedback from users and teams to improve documentation quality.
  12. Work with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, MadCap Flare, Markdown, Google Docs) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub)..

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Proficient in requirements gathering techniques, business process modeling, and use case development.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
