MarketEdge Advisory – CRM and Loyalty Platform Development

Role Overview

The Scrum Master / Product Owner (SM/PO) will serve as the single point of leadership for the development team building MarketEdge Advisory's proprietary EdgeINCENTIVE platform, which includes the core Loyalty Ledger (LPB), Customer Incentive Management (CIM) tools, and integrated CRM functionalities. This hybrid role requires deep commitment to the Agile/Scrum framework while owning the product roadmap, prioritizing the backlog, and ensuring the final product delivers maximum business value to our internal teams and external clients (Anchor Banks, Merchants).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Ownership & Strategy (The "What")

● Vision & Roadmap: Define, communicate, and drive the strategic product vision for the CRM and Loyalty platform, ensuring alignment with MarketEdge Advisory's business goals (e.g., maximizing breakage profit, enabling data monetization).

● Backlog Management: Own, groom, and prioritize the Product Backlog, including Epics and User Stories (such as those defined for the LPB and Merchant Onboarding), based on ROI, technical dependencies, and market feedback.

● Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Marketing) and the development team, translating high-level business requirements into clear, actionable User Stories with defined acceptance criteria.

● Release Planning: Define and manage release content, setting realistic timelines and ensuring predictable delivery to support partner onboarding schedules (e.g., Edge Card launch).

  1. Scrum Master & Team Facilitation (The "How")

● Scrum Process Enforcement: Champion and enforce Scrum principles and practices across the development team, including facilitating Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

● Removing Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve obstacles and bottlenecks (technical, political, or process-related) to keep the team focused and maintain sprint velocity.

● Shielding the Team: Protect the development team from external distractions and scope creep, ensuring they remain committed to the Sprint Goal.

● Velocity & Metrics: Track and report on key agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts) to monitor team performance, forecast delivery, and manage expectations with stakeholders.

● Coaching: Coach the team, stakeholders, and organization on how to use Agile and Scrum effectively.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

● Progressive experience in a product-focused role, with at least 2 years acting in a dedicated Scrum Master or Product Owner capacity.

● Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is strongly preferred.

● Proven experience defining and launching complex SaaS platforms or internal enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, FinTech).

● Deep familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar agile project management tools.

Technical and Domain Experience

● Loyalty/FinTech Domain: Solid understanding of the financial and technical concepts underlying the EdgeINCENTIVE platform: Loyalty Ledgers, Transactional Integrity, Financial Liability (Breakage), and API-first architecture.

● Technical Fluency: Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical teams (Go/PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Python/ML) and understand architectural constraints (e.g., multi tenancy, rate limiting).

● Data-Driven: Experience defining and validating product features using data from analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, or internal AI/ML model outputs).

Leadership and Soft Skills

● Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.

● Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

● A servant-leader mindset focused on enabling team performance and continuous improvement.
