Fav ice house is a trusted retail and service provider located at Sangotedo. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and organized Storekeeper to join our team and oversee operations in our frozen food store.

Job Description

As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring proper storage of frozen food items, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining accurate records of all goods received and issued. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store frozen food products in appropriate conditions.
  • Monitor stock levels, track usage, and reorder supplies when necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and storage standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare daily/weekly stock reports.
  • Organize products systematically for easy retrieval and rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
  • Assist customers or sales staff with product requests and ensure prompt service.
  • Safeguard store assets by preventing losses, spoilage or damage.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of goods, ensuring quantities match delivery notes.
  • Keep the store area clean, organized, and temperature-controlled as required.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages or damaged items immediately to management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND degree.
  • Previous experience as a storekeeper, inventory officer or in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good knowledge of frozen food handling and storage practices.
  • Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.
  • Trustworthy, dependable and attentive to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of stock when necessary.
