About the Role

Hakuna Solar is a fast-growing renewable energy company dedicated to providing affordable and sustainable solar solutions across Nigeria. As we scale to the next phase of our growth, we are seeking a
strategic, innovative, proactive and hands-on HR Manager
who will drive people operations, performance, and culture alignment to position us for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement human resources strategies that align with business growth objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes for both technical and non-technical roles.
  • Design and implement performance management systems, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Establish HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Promote employee engagement, professional development, and retention initiatives.
  • Advise management on organisational design, company culture, and workforce planning.
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification is an added advantage
  • Minimum of
    4 years' HR experience
    , including at least 1 year in a managerial or strategic HR role.
  • Proven experience building HR systems or structures for SMEs/startups.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS
