CNG Pipeline Fitter

Job Summary

The CNG Pipeline Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems. This position requires diagnostic and repair expertise to maintain compressor equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble and install CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) pipeline systems in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections and tests of pipeline systems to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review project plans and discuss modifications and improvements.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing pipeline installations.
• Utilize various hand tools and equipment for cutting, threading, and joining pipes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with high-pressure systems.
• Document work activities and report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Participate in training and development to stay current with industry practices and technologies

Qualifications & Experience

• B. Eng, HND , ND, in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Trade Test, Technical College certificate in Mechanical or Pipefitting
• Certification in pipe fabrication or welding is an advantage
• 3–4 years experience in industrial pipe installation (Gas, Steam, Hydraulic Lines)
• Experience in CNG/MRU systems is highly valuable
• Pipe cutting, threading, bending & alignment
• Ability to read P&ID drawings (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams)
