About the Role

The
Technology Manager
is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the technologies that drive the company's asset-financing operations. This includes tracking systems, security tools, digital platforms for clients and employees, loan-processing solutions, and all tech infrastructure supporting the business.

The ideal candidate will ensure the company remains technologically advanced, operationally efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with industry best practices. The role will also lead research into global suppliers, manage technology partnerships, and propose innovative solutions that enhance company performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technology & Supplier Research
(Tracking & Security Technologies)

• Conduct ongoing research to identify high-quality suppliers of:
• Vehicle tracking technology
• GPS / tracking devices
• Asset security hardware & software
• Telematics/IoT technologies for asset finance
• Evaluate supplier products for reliability, durability, and compatibility with operations.
• Perform comparative analyses including cost-benefit reviews and industry benchmarks.
• Prepare and present well-structured recommendations for supplier selection.

2. Supplier Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary liaison for all technology-related suppliers and third-party vendors.
• Build strong, professional supplier relationships to ensure timely support.
• Oversee SLAs and ensure suppliers meet performance obligations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Credit, Collections, Asset Recovery, Insurance, Telecoms, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage supplier onboarding, contract renewals, performance evaluations, and vendor transitions.

3. Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Keep up to date with technological advancements in:
• Telematics & tracking systems
• Digital KYC & credit assessment
• Loan repayment and digital payment platforms
• CRM, collections & portfolio management systems
• Mobile apps for clients and employees
• AI-driven analytics & automation
• Cybersecurity tools
• Emerging fintech and mobility technologies
• Conduct periodic technology audits to identify gaps and propose improvements.
• Recommend new technologies and oversee implementation with internal teams and vendors.
• Ensure all technology solutions align with long-term strategy and customer experience goals.

• Quality and reliability of selected technology suppliers
• Supplier performance against SLAs
• Timely resolution of tech-related issues
• Operational efficiency improvements driven by technology
• Number and impact of new innovations implemented
• Cost-effectiveness and ROI of tech investments

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's is an advantage).
• 3–7 years' experience in technology management, vendor management, or IT procurement.
• Experience in financial services, mobility, telecoms, or fintech is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of tracking devices, IoT solutions, and digital platforms.
• Proven experience managing external vendors and negotiating contracts.
• Background in telematics, asset financing, or digital transformation is an added advantage.
