About the Role

We are seeking a thorough and process-driven Production Auditor to join our Internal Control team at Gatimo Ltd, the manufacturing and retail force behind Ruff ‘n’ Tumble. This role is key to ensuring operational integrity, production accuracy, and compliance across all manufacturing stages.

You will be responsible for conducting routine production audits, verifying output data, ensuring process alignment, and identifying gaps in the production lifecycle. Your insights and diligence will directly support product quality, inventory accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Production Audit & Process Compliance

  • Conduct daily audits on production lines to ensure alignment with approved work orders, quantities, and specifications.

  • Monitor raw material issuance, usage, and reconciliation to prevent loss or misuse.

  • Verify output documentation against physical production and system entries.

  • Observe and report deviations in manufacturing processes, waste handling, or quality standards.

  • Conduct post-production reviews to confirm proper documentation, tagging, and movement of finished goods.

Data & System Integrity

  • Monitor ERP entries (e.g., Odoo) for production-related transactions.

  • Track discrepancies in BOMs (Bill of Materials), machine logs, and operator entries.

  • Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to maintain data accuracy.

Reporting & Controls

  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly production audit reports.

  • Recommend and follow up on corrective actions for non-conformances.

  • Support root-cause investigations on production variances or control breaches.

  • Maintain detailed audit logs and ensure compliance with SOPs and internal control guidelines.

Who You Are

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND/BSc in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Accounting, or related discipline.

  • 2–3 years’ experience in internal audit, quality control, or production supervision in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP) and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).

Preferred (but not required)

  • Certifications in audit, quality, or process management (e.g., CISA, CQI, Lean Six Sigma).

  • Strong attention to detail with a deep understanding of production workflows.

  • Analytical mindset and ability to spot process inefficiencies or data anomalies.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in reporting across functions.
