Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate new fintech partner and business leads from LinkedIn, Social Media, Referrals, Customer Experience (CX) channels, and direct engagements.

•  Support the engagement and conversion of leads, contributing to the target of ensuring at least 85% of generated leads are actively followed up and progressed monthly.

•  Assist in the conversion and go-live process of new fintech partners, contributing towards the team target of 5 weekly / 20 monthly partner go-lives.

•  Support the closing of new businesses with distribution potential and contribute to the monthly target of onboarding businesses with wide reach.

•  Work with partners and internal teams to help ensure that collections from assigned fintech and vertical businesses contribute meaningfully to deposit mobilisation (targeting 25% retention where applicable).

•  Contribute ideas and support the implementation of innovative initiatives that improve 9PSB’s offerings and value proposition to fintech partners and onboarded businesses.

•  Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing fintech partners under the guidance of senior BDMs.

•  Maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline in the CRM, ensuring timely follow-ups and proper documentation of all engagements.

•  Conduct basic market research and competitor scans to identify potential partnership opportunities and share insights with the team.

•  Collaborate with Product, Operations, Compliance, Marketing and Customer Experience teams to support smooth partner onboarding and activation.

•  Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports covering leads generated, conversions, follow-ups and key activities for review by the line manager.

•  Participate in industry events, webinars, networking sessions and internal training programmes to build knowledge and generate leads.

•  Support the resolution of partner queries and escalate issues appropriately to ensure good partner experience.

•  Uphold company policies, ethical standards and regulatory requirements in all business development activities.



The ideal candidate for this role must possess the following competencies and qualifications:
 

•  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mass Communication or a related discipline.

•  1 – 2 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, partnership management, account management or a related commercial role (fintech, banking, payments or digital services experience is an added advantage).

•  Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage a pipeline, and contribute to conversion or closing activities.

•  Strong interest in fintech, payments and the digital financial services ecosystem in Nigeria.
