About MDaaS
MDaaS Global is a healthtech company reimagining how diagnostic healthcare is delivered across Africa. We combine technology, medical equipment expertise and operational excellence to build and run diagnostic centres that are modern, efficient and affordable, bringing quality care closer to the communities that need it.
We're a mission-driven team working across clinical operations, technology, finance, commercial, people and strategy, united by the belief that where you live shouldn't determine the quality of care you receive.
About the Role
We are looking for a Learning & Development and AI Enablement Associate to help build learning and development at MDaaS Global. You'll create the onboarding, learning resources and development programmes that help our people build their skills, grow in their careers and work more effectively, across our head office and our diagnostic centres.
A key part of the role is helping teams make meaningful use of AI and automation. You'll work alongside teams to find where AI can improve workflows, reduce repetitive work and strengthen knowledge-sharing. You will take over AI enablement work currently led by senior leaders.
What You’ll Do
Build Onboarding and Learning Content
Build and maintain onboarding flows and learning content in our people platform.
Create the MDaaS onboarding video library, including a welcome from our CEO, role-specific content and walkthroughs of our diagnostic centres.
Design toolkits, guides and self-directed resources that help employees apply what they learn in their day-to-day work.
Apply strong instructional design principles to create effective, engaging learning experiences, and turn organisational knowledge into accessible, repeatable resources.
Support Learning and Development
Partner with managers and team leads to identify capability gaps and design targeted programmes to address them.
Coordinate internal and external learning opportunities, including courses, certifications and workshops.
Support managers in having meaningful development conversations with their teams.
Help build a culture of continuous learning in which employees take ownership of their development.
Lead AI Enablement
Work directly with teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation in their workflows.
Help employees move beyond experimenting with AI towards consistent, useful application in their everyday work.
Run AI enablement sessions, workshops and one-on-one support, including with Gemini and Google Workspace AI.
Design and implement AI-enabled workflows, templates and knowledge systems with teams.
Build shared resources, such as prompt libraries, how-to guides and guidance on responsible AI use, that make good practice easy to repeat.
Measure and Improve
Track practical measures for L&D and AI enablement: application, outcomes, adoption and time saved, not attendance alone.
Use feedback, data and observation to continuously improve programmes and tools.
Report on progress and impact to the Chief People Officer.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience in learning and development, training, talent development or a related field.
Experience creating learning content or programmes, such as onboarding, training materials, curricula or guides.
Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve how work gets done, for yourself or others, with examples you can share.
Experience automating workflows or building simple digital tools, for example with Google Workspace, Apps Script or no-code platforms.
Ability to turn complex ideas into practical, accessible learning and workflow solutions.
Confident facilitation skills with both frontline staff and senior leaders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
Experience in healthcare, or in multi-site or operationally complex organisations.
Experience with Gemini, NotebookLM and Google Workspace AI.
Experience producing video or multimedia learning content.
A certification in instructional design or L&D (such as CIPD), or a related field
What Success Looks Like
First 3 months: HQ onboarding flows are live in Talstack. The first videos in the onboarding library are published, including the CEO welcome. You've taken over day-to-day AI enablement support from senior leaders.
First 6 months: Onboarding content covers both HQ and clinic roles, including centre walkthroughs. You've run regular AI enablement sessions and built a shared library of prompts and guides that teams actually use.
First 12 months: You have clear measures showing how learning and AI enablement are being applied, and identified capability gaps have targeted programmes running.
